What is MUSIC CARE SKILLS DAY for Orchestral Musicians?

MUSIC CARE SKILLS DAY for Orchestral Musicians are customized workshops (90 minutes to 3 hours) aimed at supporting orchestral musicians with knowledge to better deliver music programming in care spaces such as hospice, retirement homes, long term care and other community care spaces.

Our Skills Day training will help uncover tips and tricks for developing and delivering meaning musical moments and will be facilitated by professional musicians and music care experts.

A Skills Day training will include:

• Learning about the needs and nuances of different care spaces
• Considerations for repertoire choices
• Inspirational exemplars for community engagement
• Enablers and barriers in music care delivery
